As a neuroscientist and psychiatrist who has focused on ADHD for the last 30 years, my take on this topic is a little different. All of us should be looking at what we are doing as a society (social media, screen time, poor sleep, dietary and exercise habits) that are making all of us more scattered, distracted, and impulsive - responding to imagery and emotions rather than rational thoughts. ADHD exists on a spectrum, but our society is pushing us all further along that spectrum, so more individuals will end up in a diagnosable realm of full blown ADHD.
