But that's presenting it as an all or none situation. Clearly gluten isn't toxic to everybody. But that doesn't rule out that some people may respond adversely, some with an actual allergy/celiac disease, and some with a milder form of reaction.

The studies that show that many people who claim to have sensitivities can't appear to identify when they are fed gluten or not doesn't mean that there are some individuals who can.
