Mr. Trump’s Angry ADHD Outbursts Often Undermine his Goals

Mr. Trump has gone postal on the Postal Service. However, by openly declaring his intention to undermine the elections, he may well be undermining his own chicanery. His ADHD-driven behavior remains a primary reason that Mr. Trump continues to be a gift that keeps on giving — to his enemies.

In two different interviews this week, Mr. Trump bluntly proclaimed his desire to financially cripple the post office to prevent it from being able to process an expected flood of mail-in ballots. “That means they can’t have universal mail-in voting. They just can’t have it.” His recent comments continue the theme of restricting voting access, which he infamously mused on in late May, when he said that if more people were allowed to vote, Republicans didn’t “have a chance of winning”.

Mr. Trump telegraphed his intentions by installing as Postmaster General a major donor, who not only had no experience as an employee of the Postal Service, but also has more than $30 million invested in companies that do business with, or compete with, the post office. His actions have already resulted in delays in mail delivery in numerous locations throughout the country.
