I addressed trauma in regards to how the p-factor seems to mesh comfortably with the diathesis-stress model of how people develop mental health problems. I only used the word once, but stress and trauma are used pretty interchangeably in that model.

I think awareness of trauma is important, but in some of the writings by the authors you like, EVERYTHING gets blamed on trauma. I've worked with many individuals with ADHD, some who did have significant childhood trauma, and others who searched for years because therapists told them they must have been traumatized, but couldn't find any examples of it in their own life.
