I agree that it is horrible. I’m less sure that it is evil, which is a term I reserve for those who are intentionally inflicting pain and misery on others. I think that a lot of this city street destruction doesn’t really involve much thinking at all, or consideration that others might value what they are destroying. I think that much of this behavior is more like banging one’s fist against the wall or kicking the curb when upset. Frustrated, angry, resentful, confused people.
