I probably should have found a way to put this into the article itself, but even though I think that McGilchrist's book has been one of the most profound learning experiences I have had in the last decade, or longer, I wouldn't recommend to very many people that they read the whole thing . It's quite long, and goes into lots of overlapping and very similar details both in neuroscience and the history or philosophy. I found it challenging to keep all of his points straight.
