I was not aware of her history, so thanks for forwarding that. I did not make a big point of it, but I found it very strange that her first major point in her research is that there does exist "a reservoir" of unrecognized ADHD, but later in the article explicitly says that this work does not touch on the topic of undertreatment. That seems a major disconnect.

Cost cutting by treating fewer people seems horribly misguided, in that untreated kids with ADHD have 2-3x as many accidents needing medical attention and a host of other costs, while rates of drug abuse, accidents, and other problems are measurably and significantly reduced when ADHD is recognized and treated.
