If you've already tried CBTi on your own, without an experienced therapist, it may be worth exploring it again with someone who can guide you and help reinforce what is helpful and what can be changed or avoided. We know that worrying about sleep is one of the biggest barriers to getting good sleep, but most people can unlearn the worrying.

I hope that we will soon have more good research which provides more information on the actual risks of different classes of sleep medications, and whether some actually lower the risk of future dementia.
