I'm a bit confused at your conclusion. Neuropsychiatry should absolutely be incorporating information about social environments. We may not fully understand what aspects of urbanicity contribute to suicide risk. But we also don't know every step by which aberrations in serotonin neurotransmission may contribute to suicide risk either. We have a lot to learn on both fronts.
