Many neurotypical people on keto diets boast of improved mental focus, energy, and organization of thoughts, which is suggestive that someone with ADHD might benefit in these realms. Ketosis does seem to alter synthesis of dopamine and norepinephrine, which might be relevant. But as you point out, we need real studies to tell us about this.
