Sana, I think that your point is perfectly valid, that at some level this article can be read as rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. So yes, I think an immediate priority is electing officials, up and down the ballot, who will preserve democracy and the rights of minorities.

But I also believe, that even under most of the really bad possible electoral outcomes, daily life for many will continue, and that daily routines and practices won't change that much. Helping people better understand their fellow humans provides a valuable service in almost all of those scenarios.

So beyond Trump and Biden, life is likely to go on, and this can be a valuable teaching moment.
