Sorry, no. I specifically chose "dollar" because "money" could be more readily interpreted as you did. Dollars are real concrete pieces of paper of discs of metal. We may use them to represent a certain value, within a certain system, but they exist as real objects. Maybe they are closer to a metonymy, but not reification.
