Thanks for addressing this important (and growing) topic.

In particular, I like how you emphasized that many doctors are not familiar with or adept at screening for MCI or dementia. A wonderful case in point was Trump's claim of perfectly remembering "Person. Man. Woman. Camera. TV." on his dementia screening test. The whole point of that part of the test is to give the subject completely unlinked words to memorize. So either Trump recalled them and reported them completely wrong (which he has denied strenuously) or his physician Ronnie Jackson didn't know what he was doing, and administered a completely meaningless test.

We don't just need more screening and testing, we need it done in a way that produces useful, interpretable results.
