Thanks for pointing out the frequent confusion about diagnosing bipolar disorder. One of my least favorite terms is "mood swings" because people so often use it feeling that it defines bipolar disorder, when they are actually referring to just an abrupt emotional response, which can happen in a number of conditions, or to people without any mental health condition.
