Thanks so much for highlighting this incident Caren. I think it is the scariest thing I have read all year, because it shows that the crazy right is not just a figment of our imagination, their comments aren't just rhetoric, they are continuing to accumulate power, and they will act on their paranoid inclinations.
After two of the commissioners reversed their votes, and allowed the votes to be certified, the holdout, Couy Giffin still said: “My vote to remain a no isn’t based on any evidence, it’s not based on any facts, it’s only based on my gut feeling and my own intuition, and that’s all I need.” Enough said.
