The hunter-gatherer theory of ADHD has been around for decades, but it's pretty hard to know what would substantiate it.

At least in our modern societies, ADHD is associated with earlier sexual activity, riskier sexual activity, and becoming parents at a younger age. That would be enough to sustain genes that contribute to ADHD.
