There is a small bit of evidence suggesting that Zoloft and Lexapro might have slighlty lower rates of side effects than other SSRI, so the expert consensus for a few years has been to start with one of those two.

Or you might be like one of my patients from twenty years ago, who really liked visiting Zoos, and he insisted that he had to try Zoo-loft first. He was heartbroken when I told him that they actually pronounced it "ZOH- loft."
