Yes, everyone dies sooner or later. But the research shows that having an ADHD-brain in our society takes almost a decade off of people's lives. And the evidence indicates that about half of those premature deaths are suicide. That means people are not just "perceiving problems" they are perceiving them as problems worth dying for. And all indications in the ADHD population is that many of these are impulsive decisions, and that without the ADHD, the individual might not be as bothered by their circumstances, or find other ways to deal with their disappointment.
